Over eight generations, the Honda Accord has morphed from a spunky compact hatchback into a critically acclaimed, best-selling midsize sedan. Along the way it's also managed to spin off coupe, wagon and hybrid-powered variants. More recently, Honda took the opportunity to catch the burgeoning fastback crossover wave with a novel Accord-based offering called the Accord Crosstour.
The Crosstour is a wagonlike conveyance that features increased ride height, extra room out back and available all-wheel drive (AWD). But despite its expanded cargo area relative to the Accord, the Crosstour delivers considerably less cargo space than most rivals. If you like the Accord sedan but need more space or all-wheel drive, the composed and carlike Honda Accord Crosstour is worth checking out. But if you aren't sold on the design or don't carry lots of stuff, there are better crossovers to consider.

The Honda Accord Crosstour was produced for 2010 and 2011. Two upscale trim levels of this crossover wagon were offered -- EX and EX-L. The EX came with a sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, power front seats, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat and a six-CD changer. The EX-L added bigger wheels, leather upholstery, heated front seats, Bluetooth and premium audio. A navigation system with voice activation and a back-up camera was the only option, and it was only available on the EX-L.
The Accord Crosstour was front-wheel drive by default, with all-wheel drive an option on the EX-L only. All Accord Crosstours were powered by a 3.5-liter V6 producing 271 horsepower. A five-speed automatic was the sole available transmission. In performance testing, a front-wheel-drive Crosstour went from zero to 60 mph in a class-competitive 7.5 seconds.
In reviews, we noted that while overall acceleration was adequate, off-the-mark performance was a little soft due to a lack of torque. Also, the transmission was reluctant to downshift at highway speeds. But despite the Crosstour's elevated center of gravity and extra 300 pounds compared to the Accord sedan, it was still pleasant to drive, with predictable steering and composed handling. The Crosstour's cabin was actually quieter over the road than the sedan's, a welcome upgrade.
Those familiar with the Accord sedan of the same time period will feel right at home in the Crosstour's cabin. The center stack had an attractive high-tech appearance, though an abundance of similar-looking buttons made it look overly busy. The optional navigation system only added to the clutter, but it was easy to operate using voice commands and the multipurpose controller. The Honda Accord Crosstour's sloping roof line ate into rear cargo space -- there was only a bit over 51 cubic feet with the rear seatbacks folded -- though rear passengers enjoyed ample leg- and headroom.

Buy this car - 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour

From Audi (awful) to Subaru - it was an easy decision. The car jumps through building traffic and has plenty of hp to separate itself. The styling has drawn lots of favorable comments every where we go. The car is green (tough color to find)with a tan leather interior and is absolutely beautiful against all other cars in the class. The exterior may raise eyebrows but we like it and it doesnt look like every other car on the road. Great interior appointments - lots of room (moving out of Sienna). A great car for families or anyone needing the space.

Amazing Buy - Great value for money - 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour

Myself and my wife fell in love with styling of this car with our first look at it. Build quality is true to Honda and is very good. Rear visibility felt little compromised in the beginning, but then you will quickly get over that, especially once you start noticing the view below the spoiler. Turning radius is little less compared to accord which I was used to, but its matter of few days by which you will get over it. Its is fantastic vehicle, gives Smooth and excellent ride, adequate power, quiet interiors and ample space. Vehicle feels very tight, sturdy and sporty!

Loving new car - 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour

We realized once we got home we would also like the bumper protector due to scratching near trunk area.View out back takes some adjusting.Nothing in owners manual pertaining to all wheel drive. This is a car we look forward to driving in snow

Wow - The Crosstour is Impressive! - 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour
By Ed - December 13 - 10:00 amI previously owned a Toyota Venza (all of 13 months)and stepped into a Honda dealership on a whim. The mistake (or good fortune) was test driving the Crosstour. What a difference when compared to the Venza. The Crosstour has better ride quality, better built and well appointed. I liked the Venza, but my concern with Toyota has been its lack of attention to detail. The Venza felt cheap when compared to the Crosstour. The best things Venza had going was the remote tailgate,push button start and more cargo room. However, the trade offs were worth jumping to the Crosstour. Its just a far superior vehicle in terms of overall quality.

Style took awhile to get used to, but... - 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour
By awolff004 - December 7 - 2:37 pmThis car is great to drive. When I looked at it I had gotten down to the Lacrosse, XC/S60s... and then I drove the CrossTour. Ride was just as smooth and comfortable. The 4 wheel drive gets me up my steep driveway in the winter. It has an "eco" function on it that reduces power for mpg... which means its not the quickest off the line, but itll growl and go if you tell it to. A couple of small design flaws: rear wiper is under-sized and not placed well to clean full swath across the glass and the front tires throw dirty water up over the hood during storms (curious whether mud flaps help?)--and no panoramic sunroof like the Edge and Enclave. But I really like driving my CrossTour!!!

Happy with the CT - 2010 Honda Accord Crosstour
By B & C - December 6 - 2:00 amPurchased our first Honda (2009 Accord EX-L w/nav) in 2008. Loved the car but after two years (and getting older) found it hard to get in and out of. Also noticed the road and wind noise. Started looking around for a vehicle that might be easier to get in and out of with a smoother, quieter ride. Test drove the Edge, Equinox, Highlander and Venza. Liked the Venza but decided to try the CR-V. During the test drive the salesman suggested we might want to drive the CT. Had not heard of it but after seeing it (White Diamond Pearl w/black leather,and driving it, knew it was what we had been looking for. Loved the styling, familiar features, ride and love to drive it. Cant wait for long trip.

Just a fabulous vehicle - 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour

It handles like a ver expensive vehicle with plenty of power and manouverability. I like the look of the vehicle and would higly recommend it to everyone. We live in a mountain valley in central utah and the all wheel drive will be a super safe way to get around during the winter months.

Bananas for my Crosstour - 2011 Honda Accord Crosstour
By okgolfher - November 7 - 7:16 amI am from a family of Honda owners but this is by far my favorite. I previously owned a Toyota Highlander which was great but it was still an SUV. In my Crosstour I have the luxury of being sporty but still having the height and room of an SUV. Love it even though it was on the top 10 ugliest cars.

You feel like youre driving a really nice Accord when you drive the Crosstour. This is the car for someone who wants the ample storage space and 4WD without having an SUV.
